The Little Carib Theatre honoured Ray in November with a production titled “Mr. Woodbrook.” Critically reviewed as a resounding success, the concert will be repeated Thursday, Friday and Saturday after Carnival next year, and on the Sunday in Tobago.
The repertoire included songs from the early 60's to Ray’s 2007's releases. The concert featured Ray’s local band Ray Holman & Company, along with guest artists Jazz vocalist Tyler Rounds of Ohio and calypsonian Keith Prescott (The Designer).
The Little Carib, founded by legendary dancer and choreographer Beryl McBurnie, was the first place that Ray ever played a solo steelpan. The production was titled Mr. Woodbrook because it is where he was born, raised, schooled and taught (Fatima College).
